RETURN POLICY

NOTE: ALL RETURNS ARE CAREFULLY INSPECTED UPON RECEIPT!

Return Window for All Products:

We accept returns on all products within a 30-day window from the original invoice date. Whether you are returning an item due to a defect, a change of mind, or any other reason, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to initiate the return process. Please note that all returns must meet our return criteria and conditions as outlined below.

All returned packages will be thoroughly inspected in accordance with our INSPECTION CRITERIA, and a determination will be made if eligibility requirements are met for credit, replacement, exchange or repair. Please be sure to follow these guidelines to avoid any delay or denial of processing your return. Returns processing may take up to 10 business days from the time your return is received.

Returning a DEFECTIVE ITEM

Unless otherwise specified, we gladly accept DEFECTIVE EXCHANGES on products within 30 days of original invoice date. Salon Equipment Company shall have sole discretion as to the credit method. We may issue a credit, ship a replacement product, exchange or we may repair the item and return it to you.

Manufacturer Restrictions

Some manufacturers have implemented returns restrictions that prevent Salon Equipment Company from being able to accept returns or offer exchanges, replacements or credits on their products.

Most Common Scenarios:

1. Product Never Arrived

  • Lost in Transit: If an order hasn’t arrived, first check the tracking details and contact the courier. If the product is confirmed lost, contact us for a refund or replacement.
  • Resolution: We will offer a choice between a full refund or shipping a replacement product, subject to availability.

2. Damaged on Arrival

  • Immediate Reporting: Inspect your order upon delivery. If you find any damage, report it to us with photographic evidence.
  • Refund or Replacement: After validating the damage, we will process a refund or send a replacement, as per your preference.

3. Faulty Manufacturing or Post-Use Damage (Warranty Claims)

  • Warranty Coverage: Our products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. The specifics of the warranty cover manufacturing defects and vary by product.
  • Claim Process: If you encounter a manufacturing fault within the warranty period, contact us for a repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Non-Covered Issues: Damages due to normal wear and tear or misuse may not be eligible for a refund under the warranty.

4. Change of Mind

  • Return Window: Returns for a change of mind are accepted within a specified period, provided the item is in its original, unused condition.
  • Restocking Fee: A 25% restocking fee applies, and the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Refund Method: Refunds may be issued as in-house credit or to the original payment method, at our discretion.

5. Wrong Product Received

  • Error Correction: If you receive an incorrect item, inform us immediately. We will arrange for the return of the wrong item and dispatch the correct product.
  • Shipping Costs: In cases of our error, we will cover the return shipping expenses.

Non-Defective Returns

  1. All merchandise must be returned in its original box with original packing materials and must be packed in such a manner that it will not incur damages in return transit. Used items may not be returned. Any damages to returned products are the sole responsibility of the customer and such damages claims are between the carrier and customer.
  2. All returned products will incur a 25% restocking/reconditioning fee.
  3. Refunds and exchanges will be given within 30 days from the original date of purchase. All credits for the merchandise will be given as in-house credit only.
  4. Custom orders CANNOT be returned for any reason whatsoever.
  5. All refunds issued will be less shipping charges. Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges.
  6. All returns must be approved by Salon Equipment Company before they are returned and must be accompanied by an RMA number. Contact us to obtain a RMA number.

Returns of NON-DEFECTIVE items that are returnable by Salon Equipment Company to product manufacturers may, at Salon Equipment Company’s sole discretion, be accepted for return. NON-DEFECTIVE RETURNS MAY BE SUBJECT TO A 25% RE-STOCKING FEE and such returns will be for store credit or refund at Salon Equipment Company’s sole discretion within 30 days of original invoice date. If the customer refuses to accept the delivery of the goods, then the customer is also responsible for funding the return shipment and the shipment to the customer’s delivery address. Please call us if you have questions about which products are returnable, which products may be subject to a restocking fee or for an explanation of circumstances under which a restocking fee may be charged.

Guideline for Return

Step 1: Check Your Return

ALL products being returned must be 100% complete and must be packaged in ORIGINAL PACKAGING. All packing materials, manuals, diskettes, CDs, digital media, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation must be included in the original packaging, as provided by the manufacturer. A return will not be processed, or a restocking fee may be charged in the event ANY item(s) included in the original shipment to you is not present in the returned package. Items sent for return consideration will be immediately denied and Salon Equipment Company’s return policy will NOT BE HONORED in the event that a return shipment is received by us improperly packaged, altered or physically damaged.

ALL ITEMS WILL BE INSPECTED AND TESTED UPON RECEIPT. Any discrepancies including, but not limited to, the following list will result in the package being returned to the customer and credit or replacement will NOT be issued.

The following criteria will be followed in rejecting returns and refusing credit:

  •   Products which are improperly packaged
  •   Products returned to Salon Equipment Company in non-qualified shipping container
  •   Packages affixed with counterfeit label(s) or affixed with labels exhibiting tampering
  •   Products with any standard certification labels removed (UL listing, capacity, brand name, UPC code)
  •   Products or packages with bar-code label removed
  •   DAMAGE: Any dents, scratches, defacement or abuse of base casting
  •   DAMAGE: Torn or punctured products
  •   DAMAGE: Loose, damaged or removed screws/fasteners

Step 2: Call for a Return Authorization (RA) Number: Salon Equipment Company

Returns will not be accepted at our warehouse without a valid Return Authorization (RA) number. RA numbers will expire after 15 days. Any return we receive without an RA number will be documented and returned to you.

Step 3: Ship and Insure Your Return

We STRONGLY recommend that you FULLY insure the package you are returning. THIS IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION, in the event the package is lost or damaged in transit. We suggest that you use a “traceable carrier” that can provide you with “proof of delivery.” Salon Equipment Company shall not be responsible for items returned that are lost or damaged in transit. Postage and handling charges, both to and from our warehouse will be paid by you, the customer, and is non-refundable. At our discretion Salon Equipment Company may reimburse shipping charges related to the EXCHANGE of DEFECTIVE products. If you have any questions about shipping reimbursement for DEFECTIVE EXCHANGES please ask the service representative issuing your return authorization for clarification.

If Your Return does not qualify:

In the event that the product you are returning does NOT meet the requirements described in this document, we will photograph the merchandise and packaging and prepare a detailed summary of our determination to deny the return. The merchandise will then be returned to you. Please call us at 1 (224) 660 – 9096 to discuss alternative resolutions for difficulties with products not qualifying for return or exchange.
